As a television correspondent and anchorman for more than three decades, I certainly have told my fair share of stories.  Along the way, I learned many lessons.  One of them was to zero in on the small details, because all too often they tell the biggest stories.  It is this philosophy which shapes my photography today.  In this photo+narrative project, I am constantly seeking out interesting people who will allow me to make a small record of their lives.  I work quickly and use as much natural light as possible.  Unlike the word of television, which may require dozens of people to tell a single story, it is often just me and my subject, alone in a room together.  I always leave feeling as if I am taking a part of that person with me,  And I hope I have left a bit of myself with them.
